One of the highlights in shooting for this magazine was getting to meet and photograph K.W. Lee. Originally from Korea, at age 15 he became part of Japan’s air cadet corps during WWII. After the war ended Lee made his way to the US and became a highly respected and renowned investigative reporter. Lee’s stories most often brought attention to civil rights and poverty.
