I am a commercial photographer/videographer specializing in corporate, portrait and event photography and a multimedia. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Marshall University and a master’s degree in Visual and Interactive Communications from the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
After college, I joined the staff of the West Virginia Department of Commerce as a staff photographer where I remained for five years. While there I had the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of assignments throughout West Virginia including studio and location portraits, many types of events, studio illustrations and still lives. In 2007 I moved to Washington, D.C. to work on the photography desk at The Washington Times and do freelance work. Within a year I was promoted to multimedia editor where I primarily did Flash design and shot video. While shooting video for the Times I had work that appeared, not only on our web channel but on major networks like NBC, ABC, FOX, and CNN. As a freelancer I had the opportunity to work for several public relations and issue groups in the Washington, D.C. area and frequently shot proceedings on Capitol Hill.
I left Washington, D.C. in 2010 and spent nearly 10 years as a multimedia specialist for West Virginia University.
I am currently the multimedia specialist for the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.
